Birthday Butterflies

Hi to everyone
At Ally Pally in April I purchased this lovely stamp from Honeydoo, the first time I have used their stamp and I must say it stamped beautifully.
I stamped with Versamark and embossed with CS detail black embossing powder. I painted the butterflies with my CS Pixie Powders mixed with water. I did stamp the image twice as I hand cut some of the butterflies and mounted them on top of the original image to create some dimension.

I have been so busy since we came back from the the Isle of Wight I haven't had the time to post anything on my blog. But we had wonderful so relaxing and the weather was so nice unlike this week where we have and torrential rain. (urghh) .

Still trying to find a job only 3 more weeks to go .. its quite strange at work now  I've not experienced anything like it before.

I hope you all have a good weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday using Altenew Stamps

Morning all
I made this card at the request of my friend for her Auntie.

I used the wonderful Altenew Beautiful Day stamp, using a variety of yellow inks, with the outline stamped in watering can archival.
I cut the image out by hand and shaped it to add dimension.
The sentiment is computer generated and I added some CS Glacier Ice round the edges of the mats and layers.

I had an interview for a job on Wednesday what an experience !! It included a test too!! Its all changed since my last one nearly 16 years ago. I didn't get it as someone else just had an advanced skill on the excel which I don't but I passed everything else so that was a positive.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Were off to the Isle of Wight on Monday for a complete rest so no blogging for me.
 thanks for stopping by.

Owl be... Woodware stamp

Hi all
Happy May Day..
This Owl stamp is from Woodware. It is so versatile you can colour it in any medium and in a variety of colours. I thought this card looke great for a man so I gave it to my brohter in law for his birthday this weekend.
For this card I started by stamping the Owl in versmark and added CS black detail embossing powder. I then coloured the Owl with my promarkers.
I cut it out with SW square double pierced dies and mounted it on to black and then green card which I embossed with CE falling snow embossing folder.. (I told you this is my new favourite - the texture is gives is amazing it is so tactile).

Well I am back from training in South Yorkshire, a beautiful part of the country. I am back at work this week  and next week I am on annual leave only a few more weeks before I am made redundant.
My CV is written and I have joined a couple of agencies.
